A great principal always said to never ignore your opportunities and to stand tall you can achieve anything. That you should dream and set your goals to the moon because even if you fail you'll land upon the stars. She was a strong woman, who knew the importance of opportunities not going to waste. I get it now.

I've been working in retail for so long that I understand with perfect clarity where your life can go if you don't try to go high. There is nothing wrong with retail for a good first job, but to doom yourself forever, is not good. For so long I have said this and have been a hypocrite.

Needless to say i'm not anymore. I quit. I handed in my notice and as of the 29th I am no longer one of them. Nor will I let myself be doomed to it. I'm in a financial shithole and I left. In many ways I'm an idiot in some i'm just slow.

Well this evening was the end of my horrific weekend at the store. I come home and sit at my computer as per usual. When my parents arrived back from eating out without me, I received two interesting bits of information. Instead of my initial plan of resume making with my aunt (who decided to ditch, fah) I find out my mom and dad want me to be a photographer... interesting.

Well tomorrow I am going to talk to a local photographer, because he told my mom to tell me to come talk with him. My dad gave me a pamphlet about an organization of artists around town whom he sort of knows, so on the 24th, i'm going to their meeting.

I leave zellers, and now I actually want to do these things - because - I don't care anymore. I'm actually determined for a change, because I know I can be good... i just need connections and time.



Now if I could just find Roswell episodes 1 - 4 online I would be good, stupid missing disc...
